G'Day from Steve
Trucks on the Highway.
The life of a long distance truck driver is never easy. It demands endless hours of monotony and responsible decision making. It can be a lonely vocation with at times high risk and little return. To be an interstate operator means being away from home a lot and being on the road, getting the job done, then returning and doing it all again.
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up". Galatians 6: 9
These past weeks we have seen this picture a thousand times on the major transport routes of Eastern Australia. I often think about the drivers, each with their lives and families somewhere back there down the road. Loneliness is a great test of character when you are separated from all that you know and love. But if your work is to deliver the cargo to people who need it... then you get out there and get the job done.

Thanks again for your steadfast support of our ministry.
Godspeed,

Thank You Gav & Jen
Pictured: Steve and Gav Gardner in Brisbane
We received an email from Gav & Jen Gardener a couple weeks ago offering the use of their Toyota Hilux twin cab for the tour. This has been a huge blessing. At the moment the good ol' diesel Hilux is still on the Sunshine coast as our team plans changed the day of departure. But we are still very thankful to the Gardeners for their generous concern for the ministry and want to say 'thanks'. Sometimes it is gestures like this that confirm in such a profound way the Lord's hand on the work we are doing. Thanks Gav and Jen.
Black Sheep Motorcycle Ministries in Australia
Pictured: Slowdog's Heritage Softail
Our good mate Shaun Matheson will be hosting a team of 27 members of Black Sheep MM on November 17th - 24th. The group will be visiting churches, Harley Davidson dealerships and serving in a couple Steve Grace concerts as well. This is a new era for Black Sheep as they begin to establish ministry to HOG ( Harley Owners Group ) chapters and motorcycle riders beyond the USA. It is the 10th anniversary for the ministry lead by Pastor Marty (Slowdog) Edwards. The 10 day ride will take in Brisbane, Tamworth, Sydney, Newcastle and Palm Beach. Phone Matho if you want to be involved or need more info p:0411 412 933
Narrabri Concert
Pictured: The Narrabri Concert
When 400 people turned up to a Wednesday night concert in the town of Narrabri, NSW we all took a while to get over the shock. It was a wonderful event organized by Phil Spiers of the local Presbyterian Church. Many Bibles were given out to those responding to the invitation given by Steve and the crowd showed warm appreciation to the team. Local Pastors have already invited us back for the Heritage tour of 2010!! Thanks to all who helped make it a great event.
Heritage Hymns get the crowds singing!
Pictured: Jordan, Steve and Frances
Here's a picture of Jordan, Steve and Frances singing hymns at the Narrabri concert last Wednesday night. We are amazed at the immediate and positive response we are getting night after night to the Heritage Hymns. It is so overwhelming to hear people worshipping the Lord with these historic songs recorded and arranged for these modern times. Please let us know if you would like a Heritage concert in your town next year. Click Here if you would like for us to try and schedule your region or town into the tour.
Jordan's Update
PIctured: Jordan and Steve's Uncle Warwick on stage in Cootamundra.
It's a huge blessing to tour the countryside again with the old man. Today, Joe Phipps and I got the opportunity to go do some simple ministry in Cootamundra High School. With young teens ranging from grade 7 to 11. I got to play a few songs and Joe got to really impact these kids with simple questions and sharing from his personal testimony. So far, all the concerts and luncheons have had a great response and it is really encouraging to see people, young and old, be impacted by Dad's 4 chord songs and the (re-amped) old hymns. Thankfully we have had no mechanical or technical dilemmas. So thank you for your constant prayers...
Jordan
Making Memories on the road (or right next to it!!)
PIctured: Joe, Jordan, Frances, Margot, Joshua, Ian, Lachlan, Kerrie, Ryan and Steve
Our team for this part of the tour is a happy bunch! The Bail family from Portland Victoria, Joe and Frances Phipps from Chico California
and 3 of the Grace gang. It is such a blessing to have the Bail boys, Lachlan, Ryan and Josh. Great little roadies.
Thanks so much to all who have been praying for the tour. We praise the Lord for the salvation stories and the opportunity to encourage many in local churches, schools and prisons in country towns.
Transportation Report
Pictured: The vehicles on tour at the moment
We praise the Lord every day for many of you who have helped us get back on the road here in Australia with vehicles. The Sprinter van is proving to be a real workhorse and very reliable. We plan to get signage done in the coming weeks, plus new tyres!!! and a bull bar is still on the list for safety. Otherwise the vehicles are going well.
Heritage Tour 2010
PIctured: A memorial to the unknown soldier in a Queensland town.
Can you pray with us as we make plans for a tour that will take in traveling to every State in Australia next year.
We have been so encouraged to pursue this venture by our concerts in country towns in the past weeks. Many church leaders are responding to the vision of "honouring the past to inspire the future". Meetings that involve local churches, schools and community groups in thanking God for past generations. The Heritage Hymns CD seems to be establishing a wonderful foundation on which to grow this vision.
Three simple ways you can be involved:
- Pray - Stand with us in prayer weekly as we seek to serve Christ and proclaim the Gospel.
- Give - There will be many financial needs small and large as we develop the tour and team.
- Go - Pray about being involved and serving on the tour for some of the schedule. More details on this soon.
We are still finalising sponsorships with various organizations so appreciate your prayers on this as well.
Australia for Christ.
Almost that time again...
We would love to send you a christmas card this year from the Grace Family. If you would like to receive our christmas card please
Update your details
or email our office. Christmas is such a special time of year.
Love, Kerrie
